Routing By RIP-V2
RIP-V2 (Routing information Protocol Version 2)
1. It is RIP
second form
2. RIP-V2 is
also Dynamic routing protocol
3. RIP-V2 is
classless routing protocol
4. RIP-V2 is
Max. Support is 15 network
Different Between RIP and RIPV2
RIP support classful network only
RIP-V2 Support both classful and classless network
Classful network does not use subnetting ip.
Classless network is support Subnetting ip. It is also known
as CIDR (Classless interdomain Routing)
Now Configure By RIP-v2 Dynamic Routing
1. Diagram
First take router(2621-XM) and add port(WIC-2T) According to following Diagram
Go to first router in cli mode and type
No
Router>en
Router#conf t
Router(config)#int s0/0
Router(config-if)#ip address 192.168.30.1 255.255.255.0
Router(config-if)#no shut
Router(config-if)#clock rate 64000
Router(config-if)#exit

Step 2 Routing
In First Router
In First Router
First check network in (Router# Show ip route)
Then type
Router#conf t
Router(config)#router rip
Router(config-router)#version 2
Router(config-router)#version 2
Router(config-router)#network 192.168.10.0
Router(config-router)#network 192.168.30.0
Router(config-router)#network 172.16.1.1
In Second router
Router# Show ip route
Router#conf t
Router(config)#router rip
Router(config-router)#version 2
Router(config-router)#network 192.168.20.0
Router(config-router)#network 192.168.20.0
Router(config-router)#network 192.168.30.0
Router(config-router)#network 192.168.40.0
Router(config-router)#network 172.17.1.1
In Thrid router
Router# Show ip route
Router#conf t
Router(config)#router rip
Router(config-router)#version 2
Router(config-router)#version 2
Router(config-router)#network 192.168.40.0
Router(config-router)#network 192.168.50.0
To check Send Packet's Between Networks or ping IP
go to first router and ping last router according to the diagram.
