Summarization in eigrp routing
Summarization
1. Summarization is Used for to convert multiple root into
single root
2. Summarization is marge the multiple network and create single
network
3. Advantage of summarization is fast conversion, high speed,
easily update routing tables and low series router is also support multiple
network.
First take Router's, loopback and ip's according to the diagram
Here maximum ip's are in first router
loopback ip are
loopback 1=172.16.97.1 to loopback 10 =172.16.106.1
Rules of summarization
Now configuration in Router
First Basic configuration
Go to first router
Go to first router in cli mode and type
No
Router>en
Router#conf t
Router(config)#int s0/0
Router(config-if)#ip address 192.168.30.1 255.255.255.0
Router(config-if)#no shut
Router(config-if)#clock rate 64000
Router(config-if)#exit
NOW configure Loopback's ip
Router(config)#int l 0
Router(config-if)#ip address 192.168.10.1 255.255.255.0
Router(config-if)#no shut
Router(config-if)#no shut
Router(config-if)#exit

Router(config-if)#exit
Router(config)#int l 4
Router(config-if)#ip address 172.16.100.1 255.255.255.0
Router(config-if)#no shut
Router(config-if)#no shut
Router(config-if)#exit
Router(config)#int l 5
Router(config-if)#ip address 172.16.101.1 255.255.255.0

Router(config-if)#no shut
Router(config-if)#exit
Router(config)#int l 8
Router(config-if)#ip address 172.16.104.1 255.255.255.0
Router(config-if)#no shut
Router(config-if)#no shut
Router(config-if)#exit
Router(config)#int l 9
Router(config-if)#ip address 172.16.105 255.255.255.0
Router(config-if)#no shut
Router(config-if)#no shut
Router(config-if)#exit
Router(config)#int l 10
Router(config-if)#ip address 172.16.106 255.255.255.0
Router(config-if)#no shut
Router(config-if)#exit
Go to second router in cli mode
No
Router>en
Router#conf t
Router(config)#int s0/0
Router(config-if)#ip address 192.168.30.2 255.255.255.0
Router(config-if)#no shut
Router(config-if)#exit
Router(config)#int s0/1
Router(config-if)#ip address 192.168.40.1 255.255.255.0
Router(config-if)#no shut
Router(config-if)#clock rate 64000
Router(config-if)#exit
Router(config)#int l0
Router(config-if)#ip address 192.168.20.1 255.255.255.0
Router(config-if)#no shut
Router(config-if)#exit
Go to Third router in cli mode
No
Router>en
Router#conf t
Router(config)#int s0/0
Router(config-if)#ip address 192.168.40.2 255.255.255.0
Router(config-if)#no shut
Router(config-if)#exit
Router(config)#int l0
Router(config-if)#ip address 192.168.50.1 255.255.255.0
Router(config-if)#no shut
Router(config-if)#exit
Step 2 Routing
In First Router
First check network in (Router# Show ip route)
Then type
Router#conf t
Router(config)#router eigrp 10
Router(config-router)#network 192.168.10.0
Router(config-router)#network 192.168.30.0
Router(config-router)#network 172.16.0.0
In Second router
Router# Show ip route
Router#conf t
Router(config)#router eigrp 10
Router(config-router)#network 192.168.20.0
Router(config-router)#network 192.168.30.0
Router(config-router)#network 192.168.40.0
In Third router
Router# Show ip route
Router#conf t
Router(config)#router eigrp 10
Router(config-router)#network 192.168.40.0
Router(config-router)#network 192.168.50.0Step 2 Summarization
Summarization is configure on another all other connected router in other port.
in these condition go to router 2 in s0/1
